Nancy DeLeon, NCSO

Training  Advisor

Nancy is a NERC Certified System Operator (NCSO) with 24 years of energy industry. She is one of the subject matter experts for the design, delivery, and implementation of training.

 

Nancy was SERC’s Program Manager where she lead the SERC System Operator Conferences and Restoration Drill and lead the Operating Committee and its subcommittee.  At NERC, Nancy was the Personnel Certification Manager where she managed the NERC Exam Development Process, NERC contracts and deliverables, and facilitated the Exam Working Group and Personnel Certification Governance Committee.  

 

Nancy’s career began at Duke Energy where she held positions of progressive responsibility, including: Technical Specialist, Balancing System Operator, Lead System Operator, Reliability Coordinator, Technical Trainer, and Next Day Study Engineer.  

 

RECENT SOS PROJECTS

 

Nancy taught closed instructor-led courses such as Analyzing and Mitigating Contingencies: Operational Situational Awareness, Effective Communication for Compliance and Reliability, Voltage Control 1 & 2, and NERC Certification: Exam Preparation for the following organizations: Detroit Edison (DTE), Applied Technology Center (ATC), Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. (MISO), Fortis BC Inc, and Valley Electric Association (VEA) among others.
