Training Consultant

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:


> Works directly with customers to determine training needs and develop strategies to meet identified training needs.

> Performs training consulting engagements.

Conducts job task analysis activities including preparing training plans and programs; provides other organizational and training compliance services as necessary.

> Evaluates information and data provided by customers and determines best actions for implementation of initiatives that meet customer needs.

> Assists in developing proposals and scopes of work.

> Participates in problem definition and analysis; prepares and delivers customer presentations.

> Develops and executes project plans for the delivery of training consulting services to customers.

> Analyzes, designs, implements, and supports training program development to support the training consulting needs of customers.

> Communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional needs for training.

> Develops procedures and tools to support consistent onsite analysis and training compliance engagements.

> Collaborates with internal staff to enhance the customer service feedback process.

> Supports development of service and product lines for training/consulting services related to PER-005




Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent level of education and experience


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Required:


> Five years of relevant experience  

> Proficiency with systematic approach to training

> Excellent communications skills (presentation, verbal and written) and ability to relate to and communicate with audiences of different levels, including executives

> Strong interpersonal and team-focused skills through a collaborative approach towards work and deliverables

> Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project deadlines through effective organizational skills

> Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite of products


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Preferred:


> Working knowledge of North American electric industry including applicable regulations, reliability standards/practices, etc.)

> Knowledge of e-learning software and content development tools such as Articulate, and familiarity with graphic design, illustration, and flash programming; alternatively knowledge of ANSI standards, program audit practices, and various job task analysis methods
