Writing Learning Objectives

After procedures are established, the single most important task you face when planning a course is designing appropriate learning objectives. Well-written learning objectives pose the appropriate level of focus, stating exactly what the student is expected to learn without being overly specific. Objectives should also be measurable so students are able to demonstrate their newly acquired knowledge at the end of the course.

All other components of the course - including teaching strategies, assignments and assessments, – are driven by the objectives. Effective learning objectives enhance your ability to plan the course and your students’ ability to meet the course objectives.

In this webinar, Melissa Sease, Certified Master Trainer, will walk you through the strategies for writing effective learning objectives to boost the productivity of your training plan.
